In the past she has been credited as Barnfield but now professionally she uses her mother's maiden name, Clarke. She was born in Enfield, North London.

She is a second cousin of the actress Victoria Shalet. She has a brother Kye and a sister Tyla.

Kacey's acting career began in when she was just 9, appearing in advertisements and stage plays.
