Sometimes the best crafts come from things you already have around the house! Cut them, bend them, dip them in paint, glue them onto paper — the possibilities are limited only by the time you have to devote to doing a craft. They make great bones and bits of spider webs for Halloween crafts; snowflakes for winter; fluffy bunnies and sheep; flowers for spring; even a loom for weaving. Before getting started with one or more! Q-tip crafts are also great for the little hands and fingers of preschoolers because they help to develop fine motor skills. Whether kids are dabbing them into paint or gluing them into shapes, children can practice their pattern recognition and shape des with Q-tip crafts.
But, what does this have to do with a fun baby activity?
My mom and I occasionally go to dinner or lunch. She always offers to pay, but I say, "I'll get it.
I said: "Mom what the heck? A quarter? I love my mom, but boy is she a cheapskate!
Q-tip push: a fun baby activity
Please don't use my name. If my mom happens to read your column, she will probably throw a quarter at my head!
That is just what happened to me when I broke up a brawl between two elderly ladies who were fighting over the same machine. The lady who chucked the roll of quarters fervently believed that she had primed the machine that caused the jackpot and that it belonged to her.
She was wrong, of course.
It belonged to the woman who pressed the spin button. Longtime readers know my stand on tipping.
Need a fun baby activity? you got it, friend!
I tend to tip liberally. There is no need to rehash it here, except to note that someone has to cover for those as you call them cheapskates! Interestingly, my mother tended to over-tip — so much so that when she moved to a small town in northern Michigan, she was repeatedly chastised by friends and relatives for making the rest of them look bad.
Her life as a miser may have given her a handsome bank that —— dare I say — may come to you as an inheritance. Q: I read your column on a regular basis. Could you give me the titles of two good books on craps? I believe you listed them ly in one of your columns. I should have written them down, but didn't.
Also, Chris, YouTube has some excellent educational videos on craps. Mark Pilarski is a contributing editor for numerous gambling publications. E-mail questions to pilarski markpilarski.
