Hi reddit, first time I share here if I'm in the wrong section please direct me over there :. Backstory: I live in Denmark and the girl I'm half-dating lives in Spain, which means there's a pretty huge gap between her and I. We met on Tinder, a few weeks ago not that longand have been calling and texting the entire time. I'm still in school, only have a few months left, which is now over google meet, do to the Coronavirus. Also due to the Coronavirus, my trip around Europe has been delayed, so it's now in August hopefully.
I live in LA and I've literally never heard that until this show.
I've always heard Hispanic or sometimes Latina and Spanish only for the language or Spaniards. My only guess is it's an East Coast, New York.
I only like spanish girls but i’m indian
The new girl who took her place in Room 6 was a big Spanish girl. I live on Long Island and it's very common for people to call them Spanish. I wonder if that's a reference to language since most of them speak it.
Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Mexicans, Whatnoticans. Being a New Yorker, we have a plethora of different ethnicities in this area that speak Spanish. Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Cubans, Peruvians, Mexicans and about 50 more sub sets, that all have their own areas in the city It becomes much easier to identify that they speak Spanish than to offend a Puerto Rican by calling them some other nationality Spanish speaking Because not everyone who speaks Spanish in the city fits into those groups.
So that is why I guess. I live in Chicago.
No one uses the term "Spanish" here, either. Usually the term Hispanic or Latina is used. I'm from Baltimore, MD and we say spanish as well.
Could very well be an east coast thing. I never hear Latina.
Usually Mexican, sometimes Spanish. Found the internet!
Recently started dating a spanish girl, looking for advice from spanish people, or people who have been in the same situation.
Why do they refer to the Hispanic girls as "Spanish girls"? Is that an East Coast thing? Posted by 7 years ago. Sort by: best.
That's the kind of answer I was looking for. Continue this thread. More posts from the orangeisthenewblack community.
